Hunting area is Artvin on Kackar Mountain at Black Sea coast. Hunting altitude is between 2.000 - 3.000 mt (6.500-9.000 feet). Hunting dates are between August 1 - March 31. Turkey's lush, humid and green Black Sea coast surprises those who imagine the country to be nothing but barren steppes. Throughout the region, fishing villages and mountain hamlets alike preserve their indigenous and traditional wooden architectual styles. The humid climate and fertile soil encourages the cultivation of a variety of produce including tea, tobacco and hazelnuts. Towards the Georgean border dense pine forests cover the mountains. While walking around Kackar's rolling meadows and forests you can see Asian Brown Bear and Chamois.
